Places around the world that You better shouldn't visit.

  Author’s comment.

I will share interesting places across the world and why they are considered to be dangerous.

1. The Darién Gap, Panama/Colombia

This undeveloped stretch of dense jungle and mountains is the only overland break in the Pan-American Highway. It's notorious for its extreme terrain, venomous wildlife, drug traffickers, and armed groups, making it incredibly perilous for those who attempt to cross it.

2. Snake Island (Ilha da Queimada Grande), Brazil

As its name suggests, this island is home to thousands of golden lancehead vipers, one of the most venomous snakes in the world. Its venom is potent enough to melt human flesh, and the density of snakes is so high (up to five per square meter) that the Brazilian government has forbidden public access.

3. Mount Washington, New Hampshire, USA

While not extremely high, Mount Washington is infamous for its erratic and extreme weather. It holds the record for the highest measured wind speed directly observed by a human (231 mph) and experiences hurricane-force winds on average 110 days a year, along with blizzards and extreme cold.

4. Afar Depression, Ethiopia

This geological depression is one of the hottest places on Earth, with average annual temperatures often exceeding 95°F (35°C). It's also tectonically active, with numerous volcanoes, fissures, and acidic hot springs that release toxic gases. The remote and harsh environment, coupled with regional conflicts, makes it very dangerous.

5. Syria

Still ravaged by civil war, Syria remains one of the most dangerous countries globally. Civilian areas are subject to bombardment, and the presence of numerous armed groups, including terrorist organizations, makes it extremely hazardous due to violence, kidnappings, and lack of basic services.

6. Sahel Region (e.g., Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso)

This vast semi-arid belt across Africa faces a confluence of dangers: extreme poverty, food insecurity due to climate change, and widespread violence from insurgent groups. Kidnappings of foreigners are common, and government control is often weak outside urban centers.

7. Lake Natron, Tanzania

While incredibly beautiful with its distinct red hues, Lake Natron is a highly alkaline and corrosive body of water. Its high pH (up to 10.5) and temperatures that can reach 140°F (60°C) are lethal to most animals, often calcifying them into eerily preserved statues.

8. North Korea

The danger in North Korea is primarily political and legal. Foreigners can be arrested and detained for seemingly minor infractions, often with severe consequences and little to no due process. The strict totalitarian regime means there is no freedom of movement, communication, or information.

9. Ciudad Juárez, Mexico

Once known as one of the most violent cities in the world due to drug cartel warfare, Ciudad Juárez has seen some improvements but still struggles with high rates of crime, including homicides, kidnappings, and extortion, making it dangerous for both residents and visitors.

10. Death Valley, California, USA

This is a land of extremes. Death Valley holds the record for the highest air temperature ever reliably recorded on Earth (134°F or 56.7°C). The combination of scorching heat and extreme aridity makes it incredibly dangerous for anyone unprepared. Dehydration and heatstroke can set in with lethal speed.

11. Yemen

Currently facing one of the world's worst humanitarian crises, Yemen is shattered by civil war, famine, and widespread disease. Ongoing military conflict, including airstrikes and ground fighting, makes the entire country exceptionally dangerous. There is a very high risk of kidnapping, terrorism, and civil unrest.

12. K2 (Mount Godwin-Austen), Pakistan/China

Known as the "Savage Mountain," K2 is the second-highest peak in the world and statistically one of the deadliest. For every four climbers who have reached the summit, one has died trying. The danger comes not just from the extreme altitude ("the death zone") but also from its technical difficulty and the notoriously unpredictable, severe weather.

 Conclusion :

By the all consumed data, these places also seems to be lately very crowded and visited as many people are more interested in extreme sports and travelling.
